SWIMMING LAKE AND WATER PARK IN SEE NEAR ISCHGL
Jump in and relax: ‘See’ is German for lake, and the village’s name keeps its promises on hot summer days! Until 1433, when part of the mountain slid into the village, there was an alpine lake where the pitches, courts, sports and recreational facilities now stand. A few years ago, the new, highlyrecommendable bathing lake was crafted as a memorial to the olden days!
The amenity is divided into three sections. The bathing lake itself offers an overall surface area of 6000m² at a depth of four metres. The adjacent kids’ bathing area covers 1000m² and is 40 cm deep. Alongside this there’s a broad pond for anglers, and also a biotope as a home for local flora and fauna – and as a quiet retreat for those seeking peace and tranquillity. There are plenty of recreational facilities around the lake.
